The CeBIT trade fair in Hanover is one of the world’s biggest computer technology trade fairs with approximately 3,300 exhibitors from 70 countries are presenting their products and services. There’s always a “partner country” highlighted at German trade fairs, and Cebit is no exception; this year, it’s Switzerland!

DigitalZurich2025 Steering Committee Member Ruedi Noser who also serves as president of ictswitzerland has been the driving force behind securing Switzerland’s spot as partner country.

Our top 3 highlights from CeBIT

  • Ruedi Noser alongside Johann Schneider-Ammann, President of the Federal Council of Switzerland, received Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, and held a very successful press conference and tour at the Swiss Pavilion.
  • Startup founders from two Zurich-based startups, Wingtra and Beekeeper, had the chance to present to Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Swiss Arena who took lots of interest in their innovative products.
