Switzerland stands for decentralised prosperity which thrives from its regions. Regions hold enormous potential for the future, and they are home to most small and medium-sized enterprises.
We celebrate each region’s digital strengths and come together as a strong digital nation with global impact. To do so, we collaborate with regional networks that draw from their unique assets, local structures, and already established models to promote the opportunities of digital transformation. Our initiatives grow from our regional hubs in Romandie, Berne area, north-western Switzerland, central Switzerland, Ticino and eastern Switzerland and are looking to expand even further.
Swiss Digital Days
Regional partners create a schedule fitting to the needs of their area. This allows regions to introduce specific topics to their area and celebrate all that’s been accomplished already.
Local Events
Not all regions are created equal. Each area has its unique set of assets and challenges. Regional events pick up on the needs and turn them into events throughout the year.
Regional Initiatives for SMEs
More than 99% of all businesses in Switzerland are SMEs. Many of them are not ready for the imminent digital future. Our regions offer support to and connect SMEs to continue to thrive.
Albeit small, Switzerland is a powerful country with a variety of strengths. Four official national languages as well as cultural and geographical diversity make each region unique, allowing for different strengths and talents to grow into their own power. As a cross national initiative it is our responsibility to foster each region’s individuality and tie them together on a national level.
Digital transformation is a truly global change. Alliances are indispensable and necessary. Digitalisation makes it essential for everyone to work together. Switzerland’s regions have a key role to play. Corporations can strengthen their competitiveness and innovation power.

The aim is to support and drive change. The Swiss Digital Summit makes an important contribution to help shape and tackle the complex effects of digitalisation in Switzerland.

Lausanne
In partnership with EPFL and IMD, our members are invited each year to discuss Switzerland’s digital competitiveness with renowned experts in Lausanne.
On this occasion, IMD publishes its IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking Report, which serves as a basis for the discussions.
This event that combines key insights and networking allows the ecosystem to assess Switzerland’s strengths and weaknesses and to advance as a leading digital innovation hub.
