At this year's "AI for Good Global Summit" in Geneva, Federal Councillor Albert Rösti officially announced that the Geneva AI Summit will take place on June 21 and 22, 2027. This summit represents a major milestone for the country, and digitalswitzerland is dedicated to ensuring that Switzerland and its members make the most of this opportunity.
The core of this engagement involves organizing a major side event at the summit, tentatively titled the “Swiss/Global Hub for Trustworthy AI.” This platform is designed specifically to connect the Swiss ecosystem with key global players.
The "Road to Geneva" leading up to the summit will be used to build strong momentum. The next milestone is the digitalswitzerland forum on September 15, 2026, in Berne, which features a keynote by Federal Councillor Albert Rösti, followed then by the WEF in early 2027.
At every stage of these events, the concrete actions of the Swiss AI Action Plan will be discussed and refined. This plan forms a structured contribution to the debate on Switzerland's AI future and global positioning. As an official partner of the summit, digitalswitzerland is able to contribute directly to shaping it.
This is a collaborative effort, and the entire network is invited to participate. Organizations can get involved by contributing to the side event in Geneva to showcase their innovations, engaging in the upcoming "Road to Geneva" event tracks, or supporting the implementation of the 23 actions within the AI Action Plan.
With the AI Action Plan and the upcoming summit, the goal remains to ensure Switzerland seizes the substantial opportunities of AI and actively shapes its digital future.
Alongside the official announcement, the organizing team of OFCOM and the FDFA has officially launched the logo and the brand new website for the Geneva AI Summit 2027. T
