Shaping Switzerland’s AI Future.
To secure Switzerland's long-term competitiveness, we are uniting forces in the Swiss AI Action Plan. Together with our members, federal authorities, and stakeholders, we define critical priorities—from infrastructure to governance—to actively shape Switzerland's positioning in the global AI landscape. We are convinced that a proactive approach is necessary not only to adapt to technological changes but to lead them toward the Global AI Summit Geneva 2027.
The rapid development of AI requires a coordinated national effort. Through national consultations via platforms and strategic formats like the Digital Gipfel, we enable our members to actively shape the agenda towards the Global AI Summit Geneva 2027. We are convinced that a proactive approach is necessary to not only adapt to technological changes but to lead them.

Data is the raw material for Switzerland’s future prosperity, yet our ability to use it is currently hindered by technical barriers and a lack of standardisation. We must overcome the "data silos" that prevent organisations from sharing and leveraging information effectively.
We are actively setting the foundation for this shift by working to make high-value public data accessible and interoperable for secondary commercial and scientific use. In parallel, we are driving collaboration with the Swiss Data Alliance to design the specific data initiatives that will underpin the national AI Action Plan.
For the eighth time, digitalswitzerland together with BILANZ, Handelszeitung, PME, are honoring one hundred individuals who are significantly shaping digital Switzerland. Tonight, for the first time, they will be celebrated as the “Digital Shapers 2026” at a major gala event.
The hype surrounding artificial intelligence is increasingly giving way to questions about its practical adoption. To support Swiss SMEs in turning their initial AI experiments into successful business cases, digitalswitzerland and Implement Consulting Group are publishing a practical handbook on AI adoption as part of an AI Flagship Event in Zurich.
Switzerland will host the next Global Summit on AI in Geneva in 2027. This was announced by the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, today in New Delhi at the AI Impact Summit in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This decision strengthens Switzerland’s position to actively contribute to advancing the global dialogue on AI.
The 2026 edition of the Digital Gipfel Schweiz will focus on Using AI Opportunities while maintaining control and the development of the AI Action Plan for Switzerland to guide national progress.
