Are you ready to shape the future of a sustainable Switzerland?

Leap, a digitalswitzerland programme and the Swiss platform for multi-stakeholder innovation, has recently conducted a Sustainability Workshop Series. Participating stakeholders have jointly created ideas for innovative projects focusing on Decarbonisation and Circular Economy. Leap is now combining these ideas with their submitted Innosuisse Flagship Initiative pre-proposal, which means that several public and private organizations are already keen on implementing these ideas in form of multi-stakeholder projects.

it-feuer.ch is a network of independent organizations that draws attention to the topic of young computer scientists and women/girls. With their partners, digitalswitzerland being one of them, it-feuer.ch provides an overview with exciting offers for computer science education. This way they help prepare the next generation, especially girls, for life and their professional future. It-feuer.ch was initiated by the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI), which will be held in Switzerland for the first time in June 2021.

The Swiss Digital Initiative (SDI) is in the process of creating the Digital Trust Label (DTL), a label that denotes the trustworthiness of a digital service in clear visual plain non-technical language. It represents a mark of confidence that a service provider takes its promise of meeting consumer expectations seriously.

The DTL is based on a controllable and auditable list of guarantees which a service will provide. The SDI is now conducting an open public consultation on the latest version of the label and welcomes all constructive feedback, inputs and comments until 9 April 2021.

Please find more information on how to be a contributor to the DTL.

The digitalswitzerland «nextgeneration» initiative supports digital education offerings primarily for children and adolescents to foster curiosity and build fundamental skills early in life. Our role is to connect these existing platforms and provide reach and publicity via our channels and network. There are offerings in all language regions of Switzerland.

The generation of tomorrow, the talents and shapers of the future are central to Switzerland. For this reason, digitalswitzerland is committed to concrete projects to teach digital skills. On the «nextgeneration» page, you will find activities and camps for children and young people aged 5 to 19 as well as for adults, distributed throughout Switzerland, to immerse themselves in the fascination of the digital world.

Are you battling challenges in your industry? Have you tried to solve them but couldn’t find the solution on your own? You’re not the only one and that’s why the Leap platform offers free support to tackle underlying transversal challenges.

Together, we explore opportunities, unmet needs, plus areas to innovate for you, along with your organisation, so you feel empowered to create collaborative and impactful ecosystems for innovation. We work together to create win-win situations for all parties. Moreover, because this collaborative work is worth celebrating, Leap hosts the annual Leap Digital Demo Day on 20 April 2021.

Be an integral part of this year’s Digital Day by co-creating it with our members, partners and the Digital Day team. We are looking to fill the following two roles:

For the organizers of the Digital Days, inertia would be fatal for Switzerland as a center of innovation. Since the digitalization push intensified by Corona, there is an even greater need for action.

The Swiss Federal Council has set the 2050 climate strategy for Switzerland as part of the Paris Agreement. To achieve the common goal of limiting global warming to well below 2°C, economy, technology, and science experts must work together. However, such multi-stakeholder collaboration also requires data transparency for the green transition of whole value chains on the way to a net-zero economy in Switzerland. Leap by digitalswitzerland aims to lay the foundation for co-creating sustainable innovation projects on how digital technologies can contribute to decarbonisation
