What are some of the past successes of digitalswitzerland?

In 2016, DigitalZurich2025 turned into digitalswitzerland as we know it today. Since then, lots has happened. Thanks to our members and partners who are pursuing the same mission of making Switzerland a leading digital nation, we have been able to discuss a multitude of innovative ideas, run inspiring campaigns, organise and host powerful networking events and much, much more. Have a look at the history of digitalswitzerland, you will find past successes in our timeline.

What are the requirements for becoming an Association member or Foundation partner of digitalswitzerland?

First and foremost, it is important that your organisation has a legal entity in Switzerland. Furthermore, we welcome all organisations that share our mission to establish Switzerland as a leading digital nation. It is beneficial if we can bridge the gap between digitalisation and your organisation, and we see many opportunities for this. Please contact us at info@digitalswitzerland.com. Our relationship management team looks forward to hearing from you.

What does digitalswitzerland stand for?

digitalswitzerland is a swiss-wide, cross-industry initiative that aims to strengthen and anchor Switzerland as a leading nation for digital innovation. Under the umbrella of digitalswitzerland, more than 200 association members and non-political foundation partners work together transversally to achieve this goal. Learn more.

What is included in a membership?

You will be invited to several networking events throughout the year where you can benefit from making connections in digitalswitzerland’s large and diverse network and beyond. This includes connecting with top executives, thought and industry leaders of Switzerland and to be inspired by trending digital topics. You can also discuss, help shape, support and participate in initiatives and projects on pressing issues and important topics that shape  Switzerland. As an Association member your voice is needed at our annual General Assembly, when making strategic decisions on the future of digitalswitzerland and the mission we pursue.

What is my time commitment if I become a member?

Generally, there is no explicit time commitment expected. However, we want to have active members and we ask you to give us at least two contacts in your organisation (one C-Level, one Ambassador) to share our activities with you. We expect our members to be open for innovation, inspiration and transversality. And last but not least: we support that networking within digitalswitzerland results in new business opportunities and cooperation but we are not a sales-oriented platform.

What is the difference between the association and the foundation?

As a member of the Association you play an active role in bringing our projects to life – including political ones.
The digitalswitzerland Foundation provides an open and independent forum for neutral debates around digital change. One of the main goals is to encourage and support digital literacy among the Swiss population. Foundation partners are drawn from academia, public organisations and NGOs or NPOs.

What topics does digitalswitzerland cover with their projects?

With topics such as cybersecurity, e-health, e-Sustainability, e-Government, education or diversity, digitalswitzerland covers a wide range of digitalisation subjects. This list is not exhaustive. For more information on the latest projects, subscribe to our newsletter and take a look at our news section.

Which events does digitalswitzerland offer to non-members?

The events that we host, sponsor or co-create throughout the year, bring members or non-members together. Check our event calendar for details on the registration requirements for events that catch your interest. Should any questions arise, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
